Mumsie of Stratford
Hi friends, my name is Judith and I'm a Stratford native. Some of my closest family call me Mumsie, which is now the name of my brand, "Mumsie of Stratford". I am a crocheter from way back, started learning to crochet when I was just 12 years old from my Grandmother Maude. She was a blessing and an inspiration for me. I loved to watch her sewing, quilting and crocheting. Grandma Maude started teaching me the easy stuff and I made a few scarfs and a small blanket. As I picked up on the craft pretty quickly, she got right down to the harder stitches.
Thank you Grandma Maude for your love and patience teaching me things that would be a joy for a lifetime.
Now, I am a retired mother and grandmother. Besides my fur-baby dog Cooper, I have grown children, grandchildren and grand fur-babies. I have crocheted individual items for all of them like blankets, hats, scarves and of course ponchos. I've also made shawls, baby layette sets and doggie sweaters too. The list could go on and on. Since I have more time after retiring, I am sharing my creations in a section of my daughter and son-in-law's online webstore.
Almost all of my items can be made with different colors. If you see something you like but want it customized to suit you better, send a message and I will contact you back to discuss the details. Thank you for reading this and I hope you find an item for yourself or a gift for someone special.
