This is a Cardinal Bird Figurine by W. Goebel. The painting on this wonderful porcelain is matte finished.porcelain. One darling bird is sitting, waiting on a new home. Cardinals, in the family Cardinalidae, are passerine birds found in North and South America. They are also known as cardinal-grosbeaks and cardinal-buntings. The South American cardinals in the genus Paroaria are placed in another family, the Thraupidae. The bottom of the figurine is stamped with: CV 72 and the trademark 5 (TMK 5) logo. (1972 - 1979) Made in W. Germany. Measurements are 3 inches tall by 2 1/4 inches wide. This vintage item is collectible and it is in like new condition. No original box. Please see photos. MINT - The item is in perfect condition.
