This PEZ depicts the K-9 German Shepherd group that is part of the Emergency Heroes series that worked after the tragedies of September 11, 2001. To honor the firemen, police, EMTs, and medical and military personnel who worked tirelessly after the tragedies of September 11, 2001, PEZ candies issued an Emergency Heroes series of nine dispensers that depicted a nurse, air force pilot, navy seal, K-9 German shepherd, policewoman and policeman, and firefighter and construction worker available as both a Caucasian and African American.
