A beautiful European Robin bird is in a matte finish which gives this bird a natural look. The European Robin (Erithacus rubecula), known simply as the robin or robin redbreast in the British Isles, is a small insectivorous passerine bird, specifically a chat, that was formerly classified as a member of the thrush family (Turdidae) but is now considered to be an Old World flycatcher. One great looking Red Breasted Robin is from W. Goebel, made in W. Germany, bears the markings CV100 / 1968 and the TMK 5 on the bottom. This is a TMK 5 (1972 - 1979) Measurements are 4 3/4 inches tall by 2 3/8 inches wide.
