Cute little Zero the ghost dog with his red collar on is smiling happily as he rides in his yellow duck cart. The Nightmare Before Christmas (also known as Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas) is a 1993 American stop-motion animated musical dark fantasy film directed by Henry Selick (in his feature directorial debut) and produced and conceived by Tim Burton. It tells the story of Jack Skellington, the King of "Halloween Town" who stumbles upon "Christmas Town" and becomes obsessed with celebrating the holiday. The Toy Duck is a yellow evil-looking duck that has a minor part in the song Making Christmas, created by the Vampire Brothers, as a gift to be delivered by Jack Skellington posing as Santa. It later chased after some kids until the real Santa Claus returns and replaces the toy duck with a toy boat. Zero is Jack's ghost-dog who serves as the tritagonist of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Zero has a glowing pumpkin nose, (which glows red) an obvious Halloween pun of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Zero helps guide his master Jack Skellington through the fog on Christmas Eve.
