This is The First Hess Truck. This truck is a 1933 Chevrolet Fuel Oil Delivery Truck. Amazing, It is an exact replica of the first delivery truck driven by Leon Hess, the founder of Hess Oil. This beautiful piece features a rubber oil delivery hose that pulls out of the side and easily rewinds on its spool. Then there is a switch underneath the truck that operates the working headlights and taillights. The only difference between the 1982 and 1983 version is the color of the on-off switch. This truck is from 1982 and has the rare red light switch on the bottom, the 1983 has the black switch. One fine truck can be a great edition to any Hess collection. Measurements are: 4 inches tall by 11 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide. This First Hess Truck was made in Hong Kong by Amerada Hess Corporation. 1982. This truck uses one D battery for full operation. We are providing a complimentary D battery. This vintage item is collectible and it is in like new condition. (Box has minor to no wear.)
