This is a Golden Compass "Pantalaimon" Candy Dispenser by PEZ. This wonderful item is Lyra's daemon, the Pantalaimon is from the Golden Compass. 2007. Pantalaimon or Pan from the Golden Compass, Pantalaimon, also known as Pan, was Lyra Silvertongue's dæmon. After separating from Lyra when she entered the Land of the dead, they were able to travel long distances from each other. Pantalaimon settled as a pine marten after William Parry, who was in love with Lyra, touched him. Lyra's daemon's name is Pantalaimon, but Lyra calls him "Pan" as a nickname. In the movie, Pantalaimon usually takes the form of a mouse, a moth, or an ermine. In the movie "The Golden Compass," Lyra's daemon is still has still not settled. By this, it means that Pan can still change shape to look like any animal he likes. In this movie, Lyra hasn't hit puberty yet, which is usually about the time where people's daemons stay as one animal for the rest of their lives. Daemons are actually real in our world, but they live inside of us as our souls. Everyone has one. They are that voice in our heads that tells us to do our homework when we're goofing around, or the voice that says, "You idiot! What were you thinking?!" when you do something stupid. They are our guardian angels, our guides through life. I will list two sites that have helped me find my daemon. Both sites have changed my life for the better, and are most certainly worth reading. Includes 3 rolls of PEZ candy. Please do not eat the candy since it is many years old. Just the right find for PEZ Collectors. Made in China between 1991 and present. With feet. Measurements are: 4 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches deep.
