Starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young and Edward James Olmos, it is loosely based on Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (1968). Sapper Morton was a Nexus-8 replicant and combat medic who hid in the outskirts of greater Los Angeles as a protein farmer. He assisted in the birth and hiding of Rachael and Deckard's daughter.
