Arizona State University (ASU) Ceramic Stein. This is a quintessential piece of collegiate history, combining traditional academic branding with high-quality craftsmanship. Wilbur and Wilma Wildcat would love this retro mug that features the Uni's official seal prominently in the center, flanked by the years 1885 and 1912, representing the institution’s founding and its transition to university status. A bold, "Old English" style typeface wraps around the top rim, while elegant gold-leaf banding at the mouth and base provides a sophisticated finish. The entire body displays a uniform glaze crazing that gives the piece an authentic, time-worn character highly sought after by vintage enthusiasts. There is expected heavy shelf wear consistent with age and use. This incredible mug was produced by Ben Silver Creations (then located in Manhasset, NY). Founded by Ben Silver, the company originally specialized in high-end men’s overcoats before pivoting to become the world’s premier purveyor of "jewelry-quality" collegiate and club accessories. While Ben Silver is globally famous today for their 24kt gold-plated blazer buttons and silk repp ties, their mid-century ceramic line allowed alumni to bring that same "Ivy League" luxury to their home bar or office desk. This fine masterpiece holds approximately 30 ounces of your favorite beverage. Made circa early 1970's. Made in Manhasset, New York, USA. Measurement approx. 6.25 inches tall. This vintage item is collectible and it is in used condition. No original box. (Comes with complimentary box.) Please see photos. GOOD - The item will have had more use, showing obvious imperfections.

Listing Note: Because of the high-quality gold metallic banding, the vintage crazing, and usage/wear on the base, this item is best sold as a decorative display piece. To preserve the gold, it should be kept out of the dishwasher and microwave.
